About The Foundation
a narrative for good
Our Mission
The Storyteller’s Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on helping families heal from the loss of loved ones through the power of stories. Based on real life, a twist of fiction catapults each story into a favorite children’s book.
Each year, community organizations are selected by Paul Hoffman’s family to distribute funds and present at least one college scholarship to a future storyteller.
For stories written in partnership with our Tell Your Story program, charitable donations can be selected by them. Read more about the program here.

Foundation Goals
• Donate $5,000 in the first year after launching of Grandpa Paul, The River Pirate
• Tell the stories of 10 families by 2025.
• Provide at least one college scholarship yearly to future storytellers.
Meet the Author
Kimberly Hoffman
Kimberly Hoffman wrote her first story at age seven. “Once apond a time,” it began, as the young author forged her path as a literal writer. From that moment on and throughout her life, she found solace in writing.
Hoffman lost her husband to COVID in December 2020. After writing his obituary, “The Storyteller’s Story”, Hoffman reconnected with writing and its ability to heal. As she continued her writing journey, she realized she wanted to connect others with the healing power of stories and founded “The Storyteller’s Foundation”.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

Tell Your Stories
When people lose a piece of their interwoven family collective, we use the art of stories to keep the person’s love and light connected.
Each year, we’re dedicating efforts to capturing the memories of six families in partnership with their storytellers. Our process includes an initial interview/story-sharing session, writing, illustrating, and publishing with different options for your financial investment.
We are accepting applicants for 2023.
